I’m a London-born-and-bound Indian girl. I have a curious mind and a zest for creative ideas, which may explain why I chose to become a Planner.

I actually studied creative ad at Uni to become an art director, but then realised it was Planning that had my heart and my brain. Eight months after graduating I finally landed my first role as a Planner at ais

Now I’m at VCCPme, working on customer communications and direct marketing for brands wanting to get up close and personal, which suits me perfectly because I’m always down for some one-to-one chitchat… wine or coffee, anyone?

Work life aside, I’m pretty restless so I like to keep myself busy. I’ve very recently started a blog: titled “chy.inspired” it’s about whatever piques my interest or motivates me in some way (the catch: it’s all done using lists! I am a Planner, after all…)

It’s also a way to explore my thoughts on topics that matter to me, like what it means to be a British Indian girl today, how brands are handling the changing conversations around gender, race and beauty, and why Beyoncé has been the epitome of female empowerment for me since I was 7 years old

Whether that's single handedly organising their end of year degree show in Manchester to winning a pencil at D&AD New Blood - these chicks in advertising are making their mark and are smashing it on the Manchester advertising circuit.

Emily has only been in industry for a year since graduating and is already making waves! She's a fundamental member of the digital design team at MullenLowe Profero and in the last year has taken some huge projects for very high profile clients (including Wagamama, Guinness and the NHS) completely in her stride. Emilyalways brings super intelligent thinking to projects and works incredibly collaboratively with key departments including UX & Tech. She's become a pro at rapid prototyping and creating thoughtful and empathetic design solutions. Calm under pressure, always with a smile, this girl is set for great things in industry! Valeria Conti is a passionate dedicated designer. She started her career in Rome and then moved to London three years ago to complete an MA degree in Graphic Media Design at London College of Communication. She then started working as a freelance designer until moving to a permanent role at WeAreFearless. She has been working there for a year and a half on many projects with a main focus on the Bridgestone’s Pan-European Olympic Sponsorship Campaign.

Valeria knows how to cook tight timings and delicate client’s briefs.

Ask Valeria what is the best place on Earth and 10 out of 10 she’d go for Rome.

Valeria is well recognised at the agency and recently has got an annual prize for the most dedicated member of staff.

#306 Charlotte Taylor

Charlotte is a serial hand-raiser, who’s always up for any opportunity to challenge herself and is packed full of enthusiasm.

After graduating from UCA she became a runner at AdWeek Europe and D&AD, before gaining herself a spot on the work experience scheme at adam&eveDDB and a placement at Blue Hive. Finally she landed her dream job at iris Worldwide where she stayed for 2 years working on a heap of brands, and of course, always offering her time to help others around the agency. She was heavily involved in iris’ office culture as well as doing portfolio reviews to help young creatives take their first steps into ad world.

Charlotte is moving to Sydney in a couple of weeks and is currently looking for a top notch job where she can carry on doing her thing, creating great work.

Lucie made it into the Design Museum whilst on the Pipe at Ogilvy and has had several exhibitions of her own work showcased in New York, Munich and London. She’s always creating, crafting and thinking and has a love for coming up with innovative products and challenging jewellery design. Her ‘Oyster card acrylic nails with an RFID chip’ design went viral and won her several prestigious awards. Amongst all of this Lucie has done many agency talks in front of senior people.

From being a radio jockey in India to a copywriter Intern in Tokyo and now, the US, Prasiddha's ideas always showcase a unique perspective that comes from her exposure to different cultures and experiences. She is currently a Copywriter Intern in JWT, New York.

She has won an award in the YCN show, London and also bagged the Top Dog award that is presented to one team with outstanding work in school for that quarter. The one thing that always stood out for me with Prasi is her energy. She brings life to any discussion that she is a part of. She is very passionate about doing impactful work towards actual change.

Outside of advertising, Prasi is an event emcee. She enjoys hosting events like birthday parties, weddings or dealers meets. Her command over language makes her fit into various areas that involve communication and I think that is what makes her a total badass.

Firstly, Em & Liv have a hell of a sweet tooth. If they're not disagreeing which is the best colour of Skittle, they're chopping the heads off of Jelly Babies (go check out this bloody brilliant campaign on their website).
Coming from Lincoln Uni they've taken the placement scene in AdLand by storm and are currently crushing it at WCRS. If you want a team who can produce a lot in a little time these Badass Gals set themselves a challenge to think of 200 good strats in a week - they were strategy line queens by the end.

Daisy’s work for the WWF really caught our attention, rewriting well known children’s storybooks for the modern world. With animals becoming extinct and with global warming getting worse, the tiger definitely won’t be coming to tea, and you won’t be going on any bear hunts in the forest any time soon. Daisy loves stunt and guerilla forms of advertising, making work that promotes social change and tackles problems in the world.

They have a hell of a tone of voice and sense of humour, which shines best through their parody Friday the 13th posters for Donald Trump's UK visit. Also some agencies out there may have received their own 'B&N Award', an award they can give out to students on placement when they really stand out from the crowd and Beth and Nina are on a mission to win their awards back. Two seriously badass individuals.

Ellen is a comedian at heart and has copywriting running through her blood, allowing her natural wit oozes out through her writing.

After training in performance art at drama school in Scotland, Ellen decided to take her talents and go work for D&AD on the content and social team.

Through this she got a crash course in design & advertising and decided to stop writing about it, and do it instead.

Ruth Sewell is a bright young multi-skilled director who has an incredible eye for set design.

A total BADASS, Ruth co-established her own company called Dauntless Pictures where she has developed a slate of TV shows, features, documentaries and shorts. Her short documentary for the Guardian, 'From The Bronx To Yale: The Power of High School Speech', was awarded a Staff Pick on Vimeo and premiered at Sheffield DocFest in 2016. She’s just wrapped on the feature length version which was shot in New York and Florida in June and is currently in the edit.”

Ruth wrote, directed and edited the short comedy film 'Countryphile' starring Cara Horgan and Toby Williams, which won the Special Jury Prize for Writing at the NBFF and the WFTV Lifetime Shorts Award 2016. Her first short, 'Fish Love' premiered at the London Short Film Festival, 2014. She recently completed the 'Storytelling for the Screen' course at the Screen Arts Institute, with support from the BFI, where she was developing a feature-length black comedy.
