Sarah used to own a scuba diving business in the Caribbean but gave it up to live the dream: being a writer. She's been working at the forefront of brand writing for nearly a decade as a freelancer with many of the top agencies, and it's high time she is recognised for the Badass Gal she is! She's consulted with companies large and small, from savvy start-ups to corporate behemoths on finding their voice, and written everything from brand strategies to guidelines to micro-copy along the way. She now leads agency and in-house copy teams as an award-winning freelance Copy Chief and Creative Director. In her spare time, she writes short stories, and in 2018 has also collaborated with the Ministry of Stories on the launch of their flagship Monster Post Office. This is a letter-writing project where the young and young-at-heart can write letters to monsters. She led a team of award-winning brand writers to create monster personas, and also masterminded creative writing workshops to teach volunteer writers how to write like monsters. Everything she does is for the love of words, and using them well. She's a thoroughly Badass Gal.

Honestly, what doesn't? As an Executive Creative Director at Josephmark across two continents, Alex leads our team to design products and ventures that are not only usable, but absolutely beautiful. Alex lives in a cross-section between design, culture and business, and was the lead designer (directing design, dev and strategy teams) for the Myspace redesign. She was also key to the We Are Hunted design (acquired by Twitter) as well as CBA’s property and loans app, which won AFR’s Best Service Innovation Award. On a more personal note – Alex is insanely generous with her time (I don't even know where she finds it) in mentoring more junior designers in the industry. She's incredibly passionate about giving back, developing and coaching more junior designers to shape the career paths of the next gen in her industry. You can find some great related press for Al on her website.

Adeline didn't go to university. Instead she joined a small design agency in Singapore and climbed to Design Director by age 24.

She moved to London in that same year, and has since helped to grow independent London agency, Impero from a team of 3 to 40.
She was awarded Most Valuable Person (MVP) within the company in 2016, with Michael, Managing Director citing her as playing a huge role in growing the team and being a big part of the work culture of Impero.

Adeline also implemented the hiring strategy at Impero, an agency that can proudly boast that they are 66% female and have zero gender pay gap.

With her strong background in branding, she's also been a big part of their shift from being a digital agency to an agency that makes tired brands famous again. Returning brands like Beefeater Gin to global success, and launching products like Beefeater Pink, which is one of the most successful new products ever launched by Pernod Ricard.

Adeline has also helped to bag heaps of awards, including a two Lovies, two FPO Awards, a Pixel Award, a Fresh Award, two Awwwards and being a D&AD White Pencil finalist.

Falmouth ad grad Gabby is currently interning at Ogilvy, London with her creative partner Aaron. The pair were named by D&AD as ‘ones to watch’ at this years’ New Blood festival. Gabby’s work already stands out with strong insightful thinking, and creative executions. From rewriting an entire newspaper with a Bic, to positioning Pot Noodle as the perfect post 'night out' food with their campaign “Make your last shot a Pot”. Gabby’s also a dab hand behind the camera and has headed a film crew at an Elton John concert. Be sure to drop the pair a note, invite them for a crit and get yourself some slime – when you meet them, you’ll understand.

Chanelle is a junior creative alongside creative partner, Josh. Since graduating from Bucks, Chanelle has completed placements at BBH, JWT, Jolly Rebellion, VCCP, Sense, Isobel, Golin and has even given client side a go over at Virgin. The pairs’ portfolio is full of tons of insightful, creative ideas. We loved their work for Bear; creating an accessible and interesting way to talk to children about mental health. And encouraging more people to learn sign language, the universal language, with Duolingo. And when she’s not creating awesome work, Chanelle is thinking of new inventions, from plasters for your tongue, to portable ice cream. Check out more of Chanelle (and Josh’s) work on their site and get them in for a coffee – you won’t regret it.

Katie Reeves

Being the first woman to land the Creative Director role in our agency's 20 year history is testament alone that Katie is a serious badass.

But if we're going into detail, and we definitely should, she deserves to be recognised for far more than that:

She's intrinsically passionate, effortlessly knowledgeable, wonderfully kind, and always always has your back.

Brimming with ideas, she challenges the status quo and shines through as a force to be reckoned with.

She's an absolute creative powerhouse, and she's going to do big things in our industry.

Stay tuned folks.
