#127 Gracie Page
Gracie is a Creative Technologist and industry commentator whose thoughts have featured in Campaign, The Drum and Glamour magazine. She's also a general all-round badass who is far too modest to big herself up like this, so I'm nominating her. Here's why: After graduating with a 1st class honours degree in Molecular Biology from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh, she was made an associate member of the Royal Society of Biology. She then completed a post-grad in Technology Entrepreneurship at UCL where she graduated with a distinction. The bloody show-off. ...Before making the entirely logical and obvious choice to work in Content and Advertising. Gracie is currently a Creative Technologist at Y&R, where she uses her passion for new technology to make cool stuff and find exciting ways for brands to better communicate with their customers. If all those achievements didn't qualify her as a Badass, I should briefly mention she lived in Paris, speaks French and used to be a professional Ice Skater (that's right, an ice-skating scientist). So if she ever gets bored of being a strong female presence in the traditionally male-skewed world of tech in advertising, I guess there's always Dancing on Ice. If they do a Molecular Biologist edition. Anyway, don't just take my word for it, when she's not writing for the industry magazines, you can find her discussing how we can use technology to help not hinder our lives over at:
