A good digital strategist has to be a lot of things – they have to be a strong analyst, a tech-wizard, an empathetic mind, and a resilient badass. Luckily, Charlotte is all these things and more.
She started her career at Holler in the social media team, helping brands like Mercedes-Benz and Revlon to establish their role in the freshly-booming land of Social Media.
The next few years where a whirr of great clients, as she climbed the career ladder (in some damn fine shoes – probably). She moved agencies, and changed roles – from social team, into digital strategy – working on great clients like Triumph Lingerie and Unilever.
It was at Mischief that she managed to do some career-defining work on everyone’s-favourite snack – Pot Noodle. Armed with a new social media strategy and tone of voice, the product transformed from a ‘lad brand’, into an empowering one. No easy feat...
Since then, giving brands a consumer-centric role on digital has become her main jam. As one of two strategists at Impero, she works closely with all teams to come up with insightful strategies and smart campaigns. In just a year, she’s created strategies for big brands like MoneySuperMarket, Campo Viejo and UGG – all with consumers at their heart. And, if that’s not enough, she’s also managed to tackle some pro-bono work for the charity Skatistan.
Charlotte’s more than a great strategist – she’s also a really interesting person. And a bit weird, to be honest. Obsessed with true crime and terrible music – she’s heading a “strategy networking emo pub quiz”. Which, albeit niche, sounds pretty great. She also aims to take more steps towards diversity in advertising, working with companies like Creative Equals to make sure that more women’s voices are heard.
So often, strategists go unseen in our industry – especially female ones – but great work only happens when there’s a strong plan to get there. And that’s exactly what Charlotte creates, an awesome solid foundation that helps everyone bloom. At work, and in life – she’s the kind of person that helps other people achieve their potential.
And that’s why this is only the beginning for her – while she’s already achieved so much, she’s got her ‘strategy-brain’ focused on making this industry better, and more healthy, for everyone involved.
