Kim French

Kim French is one of the original Company directors at Cherryduck Productions, a production company in East London. She started her career as a commercial film editor and her work includes music videos for R.E.M and brands including Lynx and Old El Paso.

Now representing Cherryduck within Marketing and Sales, Kim values strong and authentic client relationships to produce brilliant video work in what she feels is a really exciting time for social and communication led video production.

Following her frustration with the lack of female applications for editing roles at Cherryduck Kim founded an instagram account called Edit Girls which showcases and shares career stories from women working in Post Production. The purpose of Edit Girls is to connect and encourage more women and girls to pursue a career in this exciting field, which is often a very male-dominated industry.

After the birth of her daughter in 2017 Kim was hospitalised and diagnosed with Maternal OCD, a disorder categorised by disturbing intrusive thoughts and mental and physical compulsions. Now having made a full recovery Kim continues to support other women struggling with the disorder by sharing her story and contributing to the OCD community.

Kim has recently joined the Bloom UK leadership team as Head of Brand and Content. Bloom is a volunteer-led network of 180+ women in the communications industries, championing the real voices of women and focused on spearheading positive industry change and paying it forward to the next generation.

#379 Jess & Natalie

Jess and Nat founded Mac&Moore back in 2016, with a combined 17 years' of marketing experience under their belts. They offer a strategic and creative 'plug-in' marketing service to other service-based businesses, and are potentially the biggest champions of equality I've ever met. They run an initiative called The Female Focus, where they interview incredible females in true Badass Gal style! Last year they released their manifesto in which they promote 'Equality with Attitude', it's definitely worth a read and working into your lives if you can. They even packed up their bags and lived in Amsterdam for 6 months when starting out the business, to step out of the London bubble and see things from a different perspective. They're SO badass it hurts. And so deserving to have their work recognised more by the people in our industry.
