Georgia & Bex graduated in 2016 with Marketing and Advertising degrees. After a lot of hard work, dedication and passion, they both completed internships and work placements before securing full time agency jobs in Ad Land.
In 2017 their passion led them to co-create Marketing Island, an online marketing magazine for young females in the digital industry. Promising to create hot content only, Marketing Island offers women in the industry a fresh new place to catch up on relevant and relatable news, industry opinions and advice. Marketing Island has come a long way, and is now a fully-fledged brand and unique platform. A truly unique proposition, Marketing Island provides a relatable community for women, both established or just starting out in the industry.
Marketing Island won a National award in the UK Blog Awards 2018 in the Marketing and Advertising category. Since then Georgia & Bex have collaborated with major women and agencies in the industry. Examples include JWT Creative Director, Jo Wallace, Female Narratives, and many more.
Still expanding, Marketing Island is still very much a side hustle for both women and a result of hard work, dedication and a love for what they do (alongside full time work!).
