Lara Machado is a Brazilian designer, curator, social entrepreneur and activist. During her undergraduate, she won a scholarship called Science Without Borders to study abroad at Goldsmiths - University of London. Later on, she was awarded a Chevening scholarship from a pool of 50.000 applicants worldwide to pursue a masters in Curating Contemporary Design at Kingston University London, where she received a distinction and a Kingston Award Gold. Currently, she is the co-founder of Arca Fine Arts, a social enterprise that amplifies the voices of migrant women in vulnerability living in the Global South. Moreover, she works with design and strategy for Anãnaí Institute, an NGO that articulates resources to communities. She is also a UX designer working for a lab partnering with Lenovo. She has a line of feminist products being sold at the Vagina Museum in London and the collection was featured in two news articles in Brazil.
